An accomplished tattooist, Patu, is an artist who has meshed the ancient traditional tattoos of French Polynesia with a modern influence. Patu has been fascinated with Polynesian culture and art since he was a child. He actually started with sculpting first with bone, mother-of-pearl and wood and then added tattooing to his artistic repertoire.

Patu draws his inspiration from the culture and surroundings of home in Tahiti. Several of our black pearl jewelry items are creations of Patu including our featured carved Tahitian black pearls.
