The turtle (honu) is one of the most unique and beloved creatures of the sea. Many tales and stories have told of how honu have helped save fishermen in distress or of how a honu led a lost canoe to safety, just to name a few.

Our Tahitian artisans have used their tattoo motifs to depict their admiration of the honu. As in all Polynesian tattoos, there is a story. In the tattoo, you can see that the honu has travelled past mountains, through ocean waves and has done so with all his heart.

The tiare flower has become an unmistakable icon of the islands of Tahiti. With its fragrant and intoxicating scent, its a favorite of the locals and especially artists. Its simple soft white petals contrast perfectly against the deep green hardy leaves.

Each pendant varies in hues so each is unique. Diameter is 3/4 inch round and hangs from an all-natural raffia woven necklace.
