Being a traditional Hawaiian group, this album was very challenging. Most of these songs have been recorded time and time again so it was very difficult to come up with a rendition that had the “signature sound” of the Makaha Sons. Some of the favorite hapa-haole tunes on this CD are: “The Hawaiian Wedding Song,” “Blue Hawaii,” “Red Sails in the Sunset,” and “Lahaina Luna.”
